Ok, so in the process of trying to get my US Passport, I'm finding it very difficult to prove I'm a US Citizen, my birth certificate given to me by the court is not a certified copy. So I finally found out that I can petition a new one from California. Well I have to have a copy of my adoption decree also, but wouldn't you now it the judge refuses to grant me a copy of even this.
In the process however my mother, has was shown information about my birth mother and I now have her name. Diana Lin Nolan, she got married after I was born to a man name James Holt, when I have no clue, how old she was at this time, I have no clue. However I now have a name to start with. Diana Lin (Nolan) Holt.
So a recap, I was born in Van Nuys California in Nov 1970 to Diana Lin Nolan, and later adopted in Texas on 1 Oct 1979. If anyone has information please let me know.
